MatRecordJSON — JSON format for MTR, CMTR, and evidence data

Normalized representation of what material evidence packages actually report, including MTRs, CMTRs, certificates, laboratory reports, process records, NDE, inspection, and traceability.

Working draft · v0.1.matrecord.json

Overview

MatRecordJSON normalizes the reported facts and evidence in a material-document package. It preserves the source chain, materials and derived products, tests and results, processes, attestations, annotations, and exact evidence locations without making the independent compliance decision.

Primary content

  • Physical source files and logical documents within a package
  • Parties, business references, document relationships, and attestations
  • Heat, lot, piece, coupon, specimen, and processed-product traceability
  • Specification claims and reported conditions
  • Chemistry, mechanical, hardness, impact, NDE, pressure, metallurgical, dimensional, corrosion, and process test results
  • Heat treatment and other process stages
  • Reviewer annotations separated from issuer data
  • Page, table, row, column, region, extraction method, confidence, and review provenance

Role in checking

  • MTR, CMTR, certificate, and supporting evidence are normalized into MatRecordJSON.
  • MatCheckJSON then evaluates those reported facts against MatSpecJSON plus activated MatReqJSON requirements.
  • A limit printed on an MTR is preserved as reported evidence; it does not silently become the governing acceptance requirement.

Core convergence

Migration plan: MatRecordJSON v0.1 is independently valid. Its next major revision will replace duplicated shared primitives with the stabilized MatJSON Core definitions where the semantics are truly identical.
